You don’t need a pupil account. Open the link your teacher shares, scan the QR code or enter the class code on the home page.

Keep the same link

Bookmark the class link. When the teacher publishes the next list, the same link opens the new words. The list shows its week so you can see which spellings are available.

Make it a small, calm routine

Try a few words together. Let your child choose whether to look, listen, build or write. Encourage another try and notice the bits they remembered. There is no leaderboard and no time limit.

Handwriting works on paper, too

Children can trace or write on a touchscreen, or use pencil and paper beside the screen. They reveal the word and check it themselves. Spellwell does not recognise or mark handwriting.

Progress stays on this browser

Stars and word practice history are saved on the device. They are not sent to the teacher. Clearing browser data removes them, and they do not transfer automatically to another device. If siblings share a browser, choose temporary practice or clear its saved progress.

When sound isn’t available

Listen and spell uses an available local British English voice. Some devices do not have one. All the visual activities still work without sound.
